Consecration

Josh 3:5 Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.”

This scripture teaches us that what we do today affects our tomorrow.  God told the Children of Israel, CONSECRATE today, and then tomorrow you will see the results of what you do today. The results of today will become the amazing things of tomorrow! It has been said numerous times that “preparation time is never wasted time.”  How many times have we heard about being prepared, preparing for our future, preparing for retirement, preparing, preparing, preparing!

Personal Spiritual Growth

We all want to see a spiritual awakening, a breakthough, a maturing, growth, development and spiritual fruit in our lives. We only get to the harvest of what we desire from God by doing the FIRST THINGS. The FIRST THING today for the believer is personal spiritual growth.

Only through walking with the Lord, repentance (true repentance) consecration and a lifestyle of worship and prayer will be BEGIN to see the seeds of righteousness planted so that we reap a harvest of Godliness in our lives (1 Tim 6:11, Col 1:10). Repent today. Set your minds on things above (Col 3:1,2). Moritfy the deeds of the flesh (Rom 8:13 Col 3:5). Be crucified daily. Put down your desires and allow the Lord's heart, desire, and character to be formed in you.
